The Assolombarda Young Entrepreneurs Group represents the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria (General Confederation of Italian Industry) of the Milan Area.
Established in 1964, the Milan Group is structured around an Assembly of Members, a Board of Directors, and a Chairman.
The current Board of Directors and Chairman have been elected in 2005 for a 2-year term, and will hold office until the 2007 meeting of the Assembly of Members.
Within the General Confederation, the Young Entrepreneurs Group is represented at the three main levels: territorially (Assolombarda), regionally (Federlombardia), and nationally (Confindustria). At each level, operational activities can be carried out within the pertaining Commissions and/or within specific Projects. All these activities aim at both achieving the institutional purposes and representing Young Entrepreneurs, promoting their interests, ideas, and values, at all levels and within each institution.
Anyone holding an office within the Movement of Young Entrepreneurs is entrusted with a twofold responsibility: first of all, the responsibility towards the history and tradition of our Association, which has been able to display far-sightedness, innovative character, and commitment to excellence; then the responsibility towards the lively enthusiasm of Assolombarda's Young Entrepreneurs, who want the group to be present, active and leading in relation to the issues involved in our projects.
The operational plan I wish to pursue along with the Board in the course of the next two-year period is going to focus on the following matters:
- Relations and interaction with schools, University and the territory (Milan and Lombardy)
- Development of our projects such as:
- completion of the water resources project,
- the future of manufacturing (how the world of labour is going to change in the next 20 years),
- Environment and Energy: (how to better use hydrogen as an alternative source to oil),
- Education and information (meetings with political and economic representatives and exponents of the civil society - Theme workshops - Initiatives on Entrepreneurial Theatre and Cinema),
- The Entrepreneur for Young Entrepreneurs (Mentoring with meetings and tours);
- Analysis and careful study about new issues such as: (Cina - India - Europe - Technological Innovation);
- Marketing (attaining the goal of 800 members, promoting above all active participation - promoting the members' participation in the work teams of Assolombarda Sr., Small Enterprises and Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria
- developing joint projects or initiatives with the above partners - discussing our high-visibility projects with the civil society - greater financial independence);
- Communication (improving the efficacy of the group's outward communications, also through the constant updating of the website and the brochure on activities);
- Activities (entertainment, charity events, sports activities).
I hope the issues I brought up as well as the activities set forth in our presentation will arouse your interest and persuade you to join us in this fantastic adventure of Assolombarda's Young Entrepreneurs Group.
